Prince Harry is overrated. Gary Vee FTW!

I’ll take you over a spoiled royal any day.

Gary, you rock. Your little twitter about my dog’s WLTV parody brought a lot of traffic to my humble little blog and I greatly appreciated it. I do my blogs because it is fun for me and I love it, being able to share that with even more folks because someone took 2 minutes to GIVE back is what it is all about.

many of these systems cant handle links - but i agree, it’s shit.

  5. Sido Says:

Mo link love! Everybody that shows any interest is gonna google for it anyway, so why not give them the link. I guess they still don’t get that the internet is a friendly place, where most people just help ech other for no real reason :-)

  6. Justin Thorp Says:

right on gary! gotta give love to get love.

  7. Dale Cruse Says:

Gary, I used to work at CBS News.com and the reason mainstream online media places don’t give link love is because linking implies a type of endorsement. So if CNN.com links to you now and at some point later you do a NSFW WLTV, then they’re still linking to you. Perhaps you explain how to bomb a building and they’re still linking to you. That’s a no go.

So is it right? No. Is it fair? No. But that’s the reason. They can’t be responsible for your content. Therefore, no link love.

Right on Gary seeing how the writers strike is winding up and the popularity of blogs, and internet videos people are finally realizing that sites like yours and rev3 are delivering quality content without the bureaucracy behind it. These bureaucrats need to begin realizing that doing everything for profit is not the way to go you need to being acknowledging the underdogs and give them little bit of support and attention.
Btw I can find plenty of blogs and vblogs that give me more quality of content and information than some of these “main stream” news companies

  10. Terry Says:

Mainstream are so confused and greedy its silly.

  11. Timothy Burke Says:

Gary, loving the 120’s and always watching Wine Library TV, keep up all the great work, and I totally agree with you about the Link Love, I think they truly should give more love to those they talk about and post links on their site’s which will give not only traffic to those who deserve it, but also get the word out.

  12. Nuno Teixeira Says:

This link love crap from mainstream is exactly why all I really care about is the indeps out in Internet Land. Great article too… it’s no wonder I’ve given up on TV in general. You along with other great podcasts out there give me all I need to fill boring work hours.

One day these internet start ups will rule the media world… they will keep imitating as they realize they are being left behind. The part that sucks is that ultimately they’ll always have the kind of money that can push new (imitation) ideas FAST.

I still remember almost 2 years back now CNN doing a story on Rocket Boom and then calling it “fake news”. THAT got a hell of a stir in the podcaster circles.

Anywho keep doing what you’re doing!
