ESPN has changed their layout and I don’t like it
What ESPN.com has done with their layout today is shocking to me and begs to think if they care about their users? With the economy where it is we will see more and more people going this route? This big fat STFU goes out to Gary.
Changing the layout for ONE DAY for a massive ad buy is hardly worth crying over. You’ll also notice NYT.com has received a similar treatment, and in the past every relevant site has done an Apple campaign that skews the layout.
At the end of the day, Gary, the internet gives the perception of “free.” But we all know the internet is far from free, and publishers need to cater to their advertisers once in awhile. If you have a problem with this, I invite you to request a full refund from the publisher, and if that doesn’t work I suggest you threaten to never visit their site again. Your pageviews are literally worth about one cent per to most publishers, and you will hardly be missed.
So for fuck’s sake, unless you’re a paid subscriber to something, shut the fuck up if the advertising creates a mild inconvenience once in awhile. The content is free otherwise…you bitching about having to scroll halfway down a page to get to it makes you sound like a used douche bag.
