I guess, ultimately two things: Even though I made $65,000 a year through my 20s on average, I lived a $28,000 a year life, which meant I had–after about 9, 10 years–somewhere in the ballpark of $80K to $150K in savings, and when I saw the moment to invest in Twitter and Facebook, I did.
